Who we are

Oil To Go is a mobile oil change service based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. You can reach us at (319) 302-8646 or contact@oil-to-go.com. When this policy says "we" or "us," it means Oil To Go.

What we collect

Information you give us

Booking details: your name, phone number, email address, the service address where the vehicle will be parked, and your vehicle's year, make, model, and approximate mileage.
Payment information: handled by our booking and payment provider (see "Who we share it with"). We do not see or store your full card number.
Messages: anything you send us by phone, text, email, or the booking form, including fleet quote requests.

Information collected automatically

Site analytics and advertising data: pages viewed, buttons tapped (such as the call or book buttons), your IP address, browser type, and a random first-party identifier we store in your browser so repeat visits can be recognized. We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Meta's Conversions API to measure whether our ads work. See "Cookies and tracking."
Server logs: our hosting provider records standard request logs (IP address, time, page requested) for security and debugging.

How we use it

To schedule, perform, and invoice your oil change, and to keep a service record for your vehicle.
To contact you about your appointment: confirmations, arrival updates, weather reschedules, and receipts.
To remind you when your next oil change is due, if you have not asked us to stop.
To measure and improve our advertising, and to show ads to people who have visited our site.
To respond to questions, quotes, and support requests.
To keep the site secure and comply with the law.

Text messages

If you give us your mobile number, we may text you about your appointment (confirmation, on-our-way, receipt) and, if you agree, service reminders. Message frequency varies by appointment. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of buying anything from us.

Cookies and tracking

We use a small number of cookies and browser storage items:

Meta Pixel (_fbp, _fbc): set by Meta to measure ad performance and build audiences. We also send the same events to Meta from our server so measurement works when the browser blocks the pixel. Where we send identifiers such as an email or phone number for ad matching, they are hashed first (converted to an irreversible code).
First-party visitor ID (otg_eid): a random identifier we generate so we can tell repeat visits from the same browser apart. It contains nothing about you personally.
Booking widget: the embedded scheduler from Mobile Service Sync may set its own functional cookies to keep your booking session working.

You can limit tracking by blocking cookies in your browser, using a content blocker, or adjusting your Meta ad settings. The site works without cookies. We do not respond to "Do Not Track" signals because there is no agreed standard for them, but the controls above are effective.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We share it only with the companies that help us run the business, and only what they need:

Mobile Service Sync runs our scheduling, customer records, invoicing, and payment processing. Your booking details live there.
Meta Platforms receives advertising measurement events as described above.
Vercel hosts this website and keeps server logs.
Google serves the web fonts on this site, which means Google receives your IP address when the page loads.
Professional advisers and authorities when the law requires it or to protect our rights, our technicians, or our customers.

If Oil To Go is ever sold or merged, customer records would transfer to the new owner under this same policy.

How long we keep it

Service records (what we did to which vehicle, and when) are kept for as long as you are a customer and for up to seven years afterward, because they support warranty questions and tax records. Advertising data is kept according to Meta's retention schedule, generally no more than two years. You can ask us to delete your contact details at any time; we will keep only what the law requires us to retain.

Your choices and rights

Access or correct the information we hold about you.
Delete your contact details and marketing preferences.
Opt out of reminders and marketing texts or emails at any time by replying STOP, clicking unsubscribe, or telling us.

Email contact@oil-to-go.com with your request. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify you are the customer before releasing anything.

Children

Our service is for adults who own or manage vehicles. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, tell us and we will delete it.

Security

Data travels between your browser and our site over HTTPS. Payment details are handled by our payment processor, not by us. Access to customer records is limited to the people who need it to serve you. No system is perfectly secure, so if we ever learn of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you as the law requires.

Changes

When we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of the page. Significant changes will also be noted on the homepage for 30 days.
